As salaam alaikum Reader

As always, I pray you are well.

I’ve been having this conversation with my children recently, partially because of some things they have observed and also as we explore community and political dynamics.
​

By the mercy and grace of Allah, people who do a lot , do a lot.
​

The reality of life is that work, tasks, projects, responsibilities, and blessings are almost never shared equally.

Some people are happy ( or grumble) doing the bare minimum. The beauty and enjoyment of life is something they are willing to let fall to the wasteside if having it means they need to put in more effort or work. They acclimate themselves to this habit so that eventually they don’t see the effort or work that needs to be done. They satisfy themselves with complaints.

Other people do the work.
​
And they see what needs to be done and they do that too.
​
And then they see what could be done and they do that too.
​

Then they see what would be nice to be done and they do that too.
​

Then they see what would be awesome if it was there and they make it happen.
​

And this is honestly just a blessing and favor from God. Most of us benefit from the vision, efforts, and work of a few. The real reward for this few is with Allah alone. Along the way people may dissuade them because ‘that’s not your job’. Others who think they are above complaining will still ‘complain’ saying ‘well someone should help you’. Those type of complainers If they help a little they will soon stop because ‘other people should be helping too. ‘
​

What those few hard workers get is that when Allah has given you vision and capabilities you have no choice but to move. How can you show ingratitude before Allah by clouding your vision?

What He has shown you He hasn’t shown everyone else. What He has made you capable of He hasn’t given everyone else? And the blessings He has lined up for you are for you.
​

Another thing , what many of us forget or don’t realize, is that Allah expands the capabilities of those who are grateful and lean into them. Allah says if we are grateful , He increases us.
​

Allah is Al-Fattah (the opener ), Al-Basit (the expander ), Al-Wasi’ (the boundless )

May He increase us all in goodness, gratitude, nearness to Him, and opportunities to do what pleases Him.
​

I’m amazed at the grace and bounty Allah flows through the hands of a few that the masses then benefit from. May Allah allow us to benefit and be of benefit to His creation.
