I pray this message finds you well.

I was thinking the other day of the saying 'Never talk politics or religion.' and it dawned on me...then what are people talking about ?

These are two of my favorite topics!

Why, because they matter to me.

Politics matter because I care about people and our ability to create lives that reflect our highest desires and make space for our highest potential. Politics is essential to how people organize themselves and are controlled and facilitated in social , and even private spaces.

Religion matters becasue this is our connection to our Creator. What you think about your Creator, what you believe about your Creator, and also what you believe about yourself and your own potentiality is deeply rooted in religion.

I don't want to talk fluff or fantasy or things that dont matter to me.

For me, using my vouce only has value if I am using it in worship of God and in service to His creation. Otherwise, I'd be better off staying quiet. That's safer for my soul and yours too.

I pray that whatever we have passion about is something that enriches our souls.

I pray that we open our mouths, or type on our keyboards, words that we will be happy to see in our records on the day when we have accounting in store for all that we have said and done. May Allah forgive us our shortcomings and make us pleasing to Him.
