As salaam alaikum Reader,
I pray this message finds you well.
Just dropping you a line today to remind you that it is okay to feel alone sometimes.
We all want company, love and community, this is part of our nature as human beings. We seek love and companionship and certainly we know from our Prophet (pbuh) that righteous company is better than being alone.
Additionally, it is better to be alone than to be with unrighteous company.
Sometimes you may find yourself alone in your thoughts, perceptions, understanding or conviction. If or when this happens, understand that there are times when it's not only okay, but noble, and a sign of great strength, to be alone. It may even be that you are alone from creation, and alone with Allah, what greater gift is that?
I'm reminding myself and you that seeking to be with Allah is more important than filling that deep desire for company 'at all cost', because sometimes the cost really is too high to pay.
Allah has promised that He is closer to us than our jugular veins, and He will send us comfort and support if we dedicate ourselves to Him.
Alhamdulilah, beautiful company abounds, so seek them out. And until Allah brings them to you, continue to evaluate and seek to clean your heart, and be content for the time alone with your Lord, He is the best companion, and He will never leave you truly alone so long as we continue to sincerely seek to obey and please Him.
With love,
Makeda

As salaam alaikum Reader, I pray this message finds you well. I want to share with you that I've always felt there was something special about women that Allah has kept to Himself...and has left purposefully somewhat clouded in mystery in this world. Allah is very specific about how Adam was created, but for women He tells us only that we were created from the rib of Adam. Allah is very specific about a mans role in a marriage, as maintainer, provider, and protector; but for women He is more...
